Infrastruturas de Portugal becomes Eress 10th. partner

Portugal’s railway infrastructure manager, Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP), officially joins Eress today,1 January 2025, as its 10th partner.

This milestone further solidifies Eress as the leading standard for railway energy exchange and settlement in Europe. IP will work alongside Eress' nine other partner countries to share best practices and address key industry challenges.

“We are delighted to welcome IP to the Eress partnership,” says Dyre Martin Gulbrandsen, Eress Director. “Their commitment to achieving the EU’s railway energy goals is perfectly aligned with our mission of standardization and transparency.”

By joining Eress, IP aims to enhance transparent energy invoicing for train operators in Portugal. “This partnership enables us to foster fair competition and deliver lasting value for the railway sector in Portugal,” says Marco Santos, IP’s Eress representative.
