IT-communication represents a big hindrance in the railway world. This has tradictionally been so, due to national interests that do not take into account international railway transport.
Eress actively works to have standardised communication with railway energy related companies and organisations. 

Energy Metering Systems compliant with Eress IT system
Erex system communicates with most of the existing on board Energy Metering Systems (EMS) available in the market.Additionally, Eress organisation issues a certificate for those energy metering systems communicating successfully with Erex system.
